Place each clove of garlic on a cutting board, hold the mushroom by the cap, and press against the clove with the flat base. The shell will easily peel off. You may also use the top side while holding the bottom to macerate the garlic in a small bowl or cutting board.
We recommend a dedicated small cutting board when using this tool to crush garlic due to garlic’s oils that will be released.
