Serrano peppers are just the smaller relative of the Jalapeno and measure 10,000 to 25,000 SHU. They vary in color from yellow, green, and orange, to red and brown, and contain the same nutritional benefits as the Jalapeno.
Onto the Cayenne pepper, or cow-horn pepper; Guinea spice, red hot chili pepper, aleva, bird pepper, or, also known as the red pepper, measures anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 SHU. Habaneros are a smaller pepper but beware as they measure between 100,000 to 350,000 on the SHU. Be careful as this pepper is for hot sauces and authentic spicy foods.
