This breadboard is NOT shy nor narrow. It is quite substantial and unique in its simplistic yet beautiful grain. Be careful to choose your board. Small and narrow boards can be awkward for cutting and may lead to an accident.
When it comes to cutting boards, bigger is better. Small cutting boards are fine when using a paring knife, although consider this assessment:
- Lay the knife you would most likely use diagonally across the cutting board’s surface.
- The knife must have at least an extra inch or two of the board on both sides.
- This ensures that there is enough space for the knife to slice to its full length with room to spare for the ingredients.
